AKASA empowers immigrant seniors through civic education programs, ESL classes, and cultural orientation. Their Health and Wellness Education Program offers information on healthcare and healthy lifestyles. AKASA also provides Legal Rights and Immigration Education, advocating for immigrant seniors through Asian American media. Through accessible and culturally appropriate programs, AKASA supports the integration and well-being of immigrant seniors.
Vision
The Korean American Senior Association in Atlanta creates an inclusive community for Asian American seniors, supporting their overall well-being. They serve as a resource hub, offering assistance in healthcare, legal, and financial matters. AKASA advocates for the needs of Korean American seniors and collaborates with other organizations. They strive for transparency and continuous improvement to meet evolving needs. AKASA aims to acquire a senior center to enhance quality of life, providing services such as transportation, counseling, workshops, and activities. They also partner with the Atlanta Food Bank and local Asian supermarkets to distribute food to those in need.
